3.1 absolute value of the complex shear modulus IG’I
ratio of the amplitude of the shear stress r0 (3A1) and the amplitude of the shearst rain y0 (3A) Note ito entry: The absolute value of the complex shear modulus 1G1 has the unit pascal (Pa).
3.2 absolute value of the complex shear viscosityratio of the amount of the complex shear modulus 1G1 (3.1) and the angular frequency (3k) Note I to entry: The absolute value of the complex shear viscosity 1q1 has the unit pascal multiplied by seconds (Pa’s).
3.3 amplitude sweep
oscillatory test with variable amplitude at a constant angular frequency w (35)
3.4 angular displacement angular deflection angular measure where the angle is indicated by the length of the arc
Note 1 to entry: The angular displacement has the unit radians (rad).
3.5 angular frequency
temporal change of the angular displacement p (14) in oscillation
Note 1 to entry: The angular frequency w has the unit radians per second (rad’s’) or, since rad is dimensionless (i.e. metre divided by metre), the unit reciprocal seconds (s’).
Note 2 to entry: The angular frequency w, in reciprocal seconds (s-I). is linked to the frequencyf In hertz (Hz) or in reciprocal seconds (s-I), via the following relation:
3.6 angular velocity
12 temporal change of the angular displacement qi (14) in rotation
Note ito entry: The angular velocity fl has the unit radians per second (rad-s1).
Note 2 to entry: The angular velocity 12, in radians per second (rad’s’). is linked to rotational speed n, in reciprocal seconds (s-i), via the following relation: 12=2irn
3.7 continuous ramp
type of test where the specified variable from the initial value to the final value varies monotonously and constantly during the test
Note i to entry: The continuous ramp is performed by linear or logarithmic presetting. Note 2 to entry: An alternative to the continuous ramp is the step ramp (14.6).
3.8 elastic behaviour elasticity
property of a material to show reversible deformation and storage of mechanical energy
3.9 flow curve
graphical representation of the relation between shear stress r (141) and shear rate y (13)
3.10 frequency
oscillation per unit of time
Note 1 to entry: The frequencyf has the unit hertz (Hz), where 1 Hz is 1 oscillation per second.
Note 2 to entry: The Irequencyf in hertz (Hz) or in reciprocal seconds (s), is linked to the angular frequency w (3.5) in reciprocal seconds (s-I) via the following formula
3.11 frequency sweep
oscillatory test (3.2.4) with variable angularfrequencyw (15) at a constant amplitude.ISO 3219-1 pdf download.
